Our Story

After Margo Wickersham survived life-threatening bladder cancer during the pandemic, she realized she wanted to more than just not die - she wanted to thrive. Inspired by the Japanese art of pottery repair, Kintsugi, Margo created a graphic with a butterfly who’s wing was repaired with gold. Embracing scars is a beautiful way to experience gratitude and thrive.

Margo's cancer during the pandemic journey also included deep and painful losses. Overwhelmed by these  struggles, she realized that a sliver of gratitude was enough to keep her going - even when she felt like giving up. She survived and is now thriving, and wrote a book, "Gratitude in the Storm - When Not Dying Is Enough to Keep Fighting". Sharing her story of hope with others struggling with cancer - or any adversity - feeds her soul.

Our Mission

Bladder cancer is 6th most diagnosed cancer globally, but few people are aware of it or it’s symptoms. The most common is blood in the urine. Early diagnosis is crucial to survival, so our mission is to increase awareness and raise funds for research to end bladder cancer.

Every ThriverSurvivor purchase helps fund bladder cancer research through donations we make to the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network.
